Project Selection
The 2026 call for projects was completed in October 2026 with RTC awarding over $1.4 million in federal grant funds to 5 different projects through Clark, Klickitat, and Skamania counties. Due to recent changes to the funding policy for the Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) and uncertainty around the continuation of the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) program and Carbon Reduction Program (CRP) in the next federal transportation bill, there was only a call for projects for the Transportation Alternatives (TA) program in 2026. Local agencies submitted projects to be selected through a competitive grant process for funding in 2027-2030, with the potential for some projects to receive funding in 2027.
