Statement
Maintain, preserve and improve the existing regional transportation system.
Description
It is important to protect the significant investments already made in the transportation system by maintaining and preserving the system to keep it usable. Both the structural and operational integrity of the system needs to be maintained and preserved as well as the system's capacity to meet travel needs. This is a priority transportation policy at federal, state and local levels.
