Vancouver, Washington -- Thursday, September 15, 2011, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at the Clark County Public Service Center lobby, 1300 Franklin Street, Vancouver, Washington. The September 15 open house will provide information on the proposed update to the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) for Clark County. The Metropolitan Transportation Plan is the long-range transportation plan to meet forecast transportation needs in Clark County to year 2035. The timeline calls for a regional transportation plan update by the end of 2011.

In addition to the preliminary list of transportation projects and strategies identified to meet transportation needs in Clark County over the next twenty-plus years, the draft list of transportation projects identified for funding in the upcoming 2012-2015 Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program (MTIP) will be available for review and comment. Preliminary results of MTP transportation system performance analysis will also be available.

At the September 15 open house, there will be opportunity to learn about the MTP update and plans for this region's transportation future. Public feedback on the MTP is always welcome. You can contact RTC at 360-397-6067, visit RTC's website, or e-mail comments to info@rtc.wa.gov.
