Vancouver, WA – On June 6, 2023, the RTC Board of Directors selected eight bike and pedestrian projects within Clark, Skamania, and Klickitat Counties to receive approximately $3.1 million in federal Transportation Alternatives funding. All were community-based projects that expand travel choices, improve the travel experience, and enhance mobility and safety. The projects include the following:
- Bingen – Sidewalks Alder and Cedar Streets, $100,000 (Design)
- Clark County – Highway 99 Sidewalk, $105,000 (Construction)
- La Center – Pacific Highway Shared Use Path, $700,000 (Construction)
- Stevenson – 1st Street Pedestrian Amenities & Overlook, $663,000 (Construction)
- Vancouver – Garrison Road Sidewalk Infill, $350,000 (Construction)
- Vancouver – Hazel Dell Av. and Burnt Bridge Cr. Tr., $300,000 (Design & Construction)
- Washougal – S 27th Street Shared Use Path, $816,250 (Right-of-Way & Construction)
- White Salmon – Bluff Pedestrian Connector Trail, $74,170 (Design)
