Vancouver, WA Southwest Washington Regional Transportation Council (RTC) announces the availability of regional traffic counts on the RTC Web site. The traffic count information is available under Data Resources section. The RTC Web site can be accessed on the Internet at: http://www.wa.gov/rtc
RTC maintains a Regional Traffic Count Program database for Clark County, Washington. This database contains approximately 375 intersections and their traffic count and turn movement volumes. There are also supplemental pages of data such as a list of the highest volume intersections and statistics on Columbia River bridge crossings (I-5 and I-205).
Traffic count data has been maintained along arterials for the period 1980 to present. The traffic data has been collected by RTC member jurisdictions. RTC standardizes the traffic count data to represent an average week day in an average month. Some traffic count locations have been analyzed frequently and have many years of traffic count data, while others have been counted only a few times since 1980.
The traffic count data on RTC’s Web site is summarized for each selected intersection by intersection leg (North, South, East, West). Directional average weekday (24 hour average), AM Peak Hour (7-8 a.m.), PM Peak Hour (peak hour between 4-6 p.m.), and PM Peak Turn Movements (right, left, and through), are included in the summary.
