I-205 Corridor Study Columbia River to NE 83rd Street

Vancouver, Washington -- The Fircrest and Marrion Neighborhood Associations along with Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and the Southwest Washington Regional Transportation Council (RTC) are hosting a community open house and workshop to present the alternatives for the I-205 Corridor Study. The open house and workshop will take place on Wednesday, September 13, 2000, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Fisher's Landing Transit Center's Rose F. Besserman Community Room, 3510 SE 164th Avenue in Vancouver. 

The I-205 Corridor Study is analyzing alternative improvement packages as to how well they address transportation issues from the Columbia River to NE 83rd Street. The alternatives range from local street system improvements with no freeway access modifications, to significant interchange modifications at I-205 and Mill Plain Boulevard, and some alternatives which add a new I-205 interchange between Mill Plain Boulevard and SR-500. The study has produced a preliminary set of alternatives to address identified problems. The public is invited to share their concerns about the alternatives, to ask questions, and learn more.
